Sad Little Girl I

Sad Little Girl

All you have is how you live.

Never give up on having an extraordinary life!

Biography? Well, I'm not good at writing about my life, so I'll just say that I've been interested in photography since I was little, but hadn't had the chance to get a camera that I thought I could work with.
I love reading all sorts of different books, a few of my favorite authors are Dean Koontz, Anne Rice, Jeff Long, Edward Rice Burroughs, among others.
I love listening to music and I listen to it 24/7. Usually rock or hard rock is what I listen to although I do like classical, opera, and such. In a lesser scale I like blues, jazz, some r&b, rap and so on.
Spending time with my friends and family is one of my prioritys, even though they do drive me crazy now and then, haha. I like cooking for them too, but I hate cooking for myself.
I'm a California girl, but I've been living in Guatemala for half my life now. [:
Um, if you want to know anything else, ask away!

Hi, I've been off the computer due to it was in need of a battery.  Can you blieve a $5.00 battery can shut you down??

During all that is going on in my life, we have another curve thrown at us.  My husband had an MRI done thinking he might of had a small stroke, well it turned out to be a Brain Tumor!  So we are now dealing with that too.  He has surgery this Thursday.  So again I will be off for a while.

It was good hearing from you.  I promise to look at your art as soon as I get enouogh time to sit at the computer long enough.

Take care, ann

Hi, we are doing good. He had a pick line for his chemo and it came out over the week-end. He saw a doctor and he is doing okay.

He used only two shots; one I've yet to post on any modeling sites. I'll have to check out your shots on Dev. later tonight; I'm off to do some fashion shoot today.(Ugh)

Yep, Midnight-Magus. A photographer I worked with asked me to sign a new release form for a couple photos he wanted to submit. He didn't say where, so, I went snooping around different sites and found him on Deviantart. I couldn't see which shots he used till I got set up there. I can be a curious one sometimes.

Thanks for the image comment. All I did was scan the photo and invert the black and white. I was bored. (laugh)

Thanks for the comments! And to answer your question, I did them using Photoshop, although I could probably paint them too, just don't have the resources at the moment. You have some really lovely pictures in your gallery too BTW!

Are you aware of the gases coming from cracks in the faults and lakes? Be careful when you go hiking. Carbon Manoxcide gases give you a headache and then you pass out and die. In California's MammothLakes, they have closed a camping area due to the gases seeping up and killing the trees & animals. When hiking look for dying trees. It starts at the TOP OF THE TREE then works its way down. Gases usually lay in pocket type areas on the ground. NOT IN THE AIR, unless it is so thick it has built up. You may have heard of the volcano lake where the gases were under the water and built up enough to rise and roll down the side of the mountain killing many in a village below. I believe that was somewhere in Mexico. My point is, after all that info, BE CAREFUL HIKING . Ann

I think Solola was the name of the town, too. Its right at the top of the hill above Panahachel. The place I visited was a convent, so that must be it. There's a bright yello church near it. I got to hear a little bit of the recordings but we were mostly just working.

It's the really old one from 1500 or something like that. There's a big circular room that acts like a reverb chamber and when you sing in it it's beautiful. I was mostly in that little town at the top of the hill above Panajachel, but I can't remember the name. It starts with an S. Sola... I can't remember. My daughter and I were helping build a recording studio for some guys who were recording old Mayan music. Guatemalan people are really easy to like.

I've been to your town. It's beautiful, especially that old monastery.
