Mood: Nervous

So, I am going to have my stuff at the Western Auto Building for a month starting at the end of August.  I'm way nervous, but excited.  I'm trying to figure out which ones to display and how to do the set up.  I'm also trying to figure out what / how much / if anything to do for First Friday.  I don't want to go overboard for FF and set myself up for disappointment.  Nor do I want to buy tons of stuff & have no one show.  But I don't want to seem like the absolute amateur I am...

Thought? Opinions? Advice?  Oh, please!!

I'm doing a first Friday in August also and am asking the same questions. The first thing a had to do was check out the space I'm going to have. Turns out there was alot more space than I expected, so I'll end up being able to display 10 to 15 pieces. I made some cheap easels from 1x2 lumber from Home Depot (not the best looking, but they will work).

It may be too late, but if you don't have business cards, get some!!! I use iprint.com (they are cheap and great quality).

On the night of the show, make sure your work is adequately labeled, be confident, and above all, have fun!

The art pimp (Le Pimp D'Art) part of the struggle sucks, I hate selling myself, but it's a neccessary evil.

 GOOD LUCK!!!

Great..get some postcards made with your feature piece, and mail them out to everyone!  Hand them out to strangers, this is great!
