re: Ft. Worth Chuck Close show: Wasn't it awesome?! I was particularly intrigued by what he had done with those plastic flourescent light fixture diffusers - stuffing them with colored paper pulp. Quite fascinating, really. And his studio's "moving wall" hydraulic easel ain't bad, either! I can barely get mine to stay stable - maybe I'm thinking on too small a scale, eh?
Nice work, Jill. beautiful clarity. Next time you're in Dallas...!
Thanks so much for the comment on my photo! I'm glad you liked it. The D40X is pretty cool. I just got mine a month ago, and am having fun! Now I just need to learn a bit more cause my photos aren't that great, but it's just me not knowing everything the camera has to offer to help me get the shots I want. [: You have some amazing photos! Am browsing your gallery now.
Thanks for the welcome and glad to have you in the friend's list. I vaguely remember the motel though it has been years and yeah, East Van Buren is not the most favorable place to habitate even for a few minutes. I like your work, look forward to more and I bet I could find you some old neon to shoot up north as I am out and about. Talk to you again. michael
Hi Jill! Great to make your acquaintance! I work virtually across the street from St Thomas the Apostle - if you too are in the Biltmore area, we should get together! :)
Jill - you never know what you will see in the French Quarter - New Orleans... I love to shoot down there - interesting subjects and always a great time. Keep your camera on and ready at all times! We had a blast at the game and the events leading up to the game. Five days of LSU and the French Quarter is about all I can stand at one time anymore!
Hey girlfriend! Thanks for the invite and the welcome! As always, love your stuff and keep on keeping on. Thanks for all your encouragement and tips, too! You rock!
