My current passion is Black and White Photography. I shoot both digital as well as film, but prefer digital. Self taught no formal art education.
I am currently working on two series of images -

Behind the Glass, a series of artistic nudes shot with the subject behind some form of glass.

Bayou Visions - a continuing series of wildlife and nature images shot in the swamps and wetlands of Louisiana from my pirogue.

Sharply attuned to the interface of land and water, Keith Skinner uses his photographic fine art to explore the many facets of those environments, encouraging the viewer to appreciate it with different eyes than before.

The breath taking beauty of the bayous and swamps of northeast Louisiana and southern Arkansas have always held Keith in their magical spell, being first cast as a child on the many hunting and fishing trips he accompanied his Father and brother on. This magnetic attraction has now drawn him to live close to his childhood home, Bayou Bartholomew from which he draws limitless inspiration. He has been compelled to look closer and closer at his wildlife and nature subjects, discovering unimaginable colors, patterns and textures that are invisible from a distance.

Moreover, he has found these intimate portraits make exquisite fine art images and the more he finds, the more he realizes that his search for new subjects has only just begun. He now sees the natural world through different eyes, always searching for shapes, patterns, colors and hues that combine to form an image that expresses the essence of his subjects.
