For me art can be more then just a hand and paintbrush meeting paper. It's the ability to express your life experiences and the world around you using any medium and for me, it's wire.

My name is Melanie and I have created wearable art since the age of 12. I started out making rings and bracelets from wire scraps that were often left behind from my father (a Local 3 IBEW electrician). I used to open up the house telephones and snip out the multi-colored wire inside of them (a habit my older teen sisters didn't find nearly as amusing as I did).
As I grew up so did my passion for creating jewelry.
Currently I am a student at FIT majoring in jewelry design and metal smithing, but my true passion has always been wire jewelry art.
I would love to coloborate with other artist's here. I am experienced with making custom pieces that may met the needs of a themed photo or painting you're trying to create.
