Taking on the art world without any formal training; Alisa Courtney has continually amazed the magazine and gallery community from the start. Her bold angles with her exemplary yet unique composition style combine to set her apart from the rest. With just a digital camera in her back pocket her quickly became obvious and she became obsessed with capturing the world around her. It only took her a year to realize that this is what she was meant to contribute. Leaving her mundane job at a campus restaurant she decided to take the chance at freelancing and has never looked back.
Her first experiences came by volunteering her photos to a popular Columbus Magazine, C-Bus. She took on her assignments with and overwhelming drive to do the best shoots possible. Which earned her a sought after spot working directly with the editor on permanent editorial pieces and monthly columns. Since then she's participated in a group exhibition where she experienced her first print sale as an artist.
Proving that she is well on her way to becoming one of the upcoming photographers of the new millennium.
