I am an Abstract Impressionist. For me, art is a treasured gift. Inspiration for my gift comes from visions, the world around me, and from the art of others. Subject matter is whatever touches me at the given moment; a flower, a song, a spirit, a painting, a sculpture, or, perhaps, a tombstone. I love oil and acrylics because of the power and softness they provide for my images. I love abstract art because it provides a window to the alternate side of reality, even an escape. All of my art comes from my heart. I want to share it with you. Hopefully, something in it will uplift you, touch you, or even repel you. If you react to my art with emotion, whatever emotion it may be, then I have succeeded as an artist. All of the images in my gallery are available. Originally from Florida, migrated to Los Angeles in 1976 with my husband. I graduated from Los Angeles Southwest College in June, 2006 and earned an A.A. in Art. Currently, I am preparing to pursue a career in Graphic Art & Design.
