Very traditional oil paintings on canvas, plein air when weather permits or working in my studio from photographs that I take mostly in and around my home town of Boston, MA.  This year I've started a new series of realism/impressionism/surrealsim paintings.

My name is Angelo Aversa, I'm a self taught painter and a rock musician. I started out very young drawing, painting and playing the flute, guitar and drums. Briefly studied at the N.E. School of Art & Design in Boston. I've played in rock bands for 30 years. I've Free lanced as a computer graphics artist and web designer since 1995 which brought me full circle back into painting. While on vacation in Rockport, MA in the summer of 1997 it all came back to me and I started painting again.  I've been painting realism/impressionism very traditional oils on canvas for about 10 years now.  I just started a new series of paintings that incorporate those styles with surrealism.
