Charity Auctions...

First time was at Tacoma Art Museum for "Art for Equal Justice" event. Piece sold for well under the starting bid...poor planning and organization killed this event in my opinion, but I may be willing to continue to support this cause...

A few months ago, I donated two pieces to an Action Northwest event. Two months after the event, and after repeated calls and emails, I still have received no information from the organizer. It's a shame because it's for a great cause that I could really support, but I will never donate anything to this organization again.

Last weekend...Gidden's School fund raiser...my donated piece was well displayed and event was planned to the hilt...piece sold for way more than I expected...will support this event next year if asked.

I always feel good donating work to local events, but in the past few months I am 1-1-1 (one win, one loss, one draw).

It's still a great way to get my work out and seen, but I guess I just need to be more selective...

Peace
