i find when i'm working on a project i like to have techno in the background, like hard electronic stuff. it gets me going. i do a lot of computer art, maybe thats why. what about YOU?

I can't concentrate when I have music on... but that'd be industrial music in general.

Depends on the mood I'm in, really. Sometimes I enjoy listening to a wide variety of music (rock, metal, goth opera), sometimes I just like to enjoy the peace and quiet :)

The music I listen to when in the creation process-really depends upon my mood-along with the over all feeling of the peice that I am working on. I cannot work without music-it is terrible for me to even try-Sometimes I spend upward thirty minutes trying to find music to work to-it is annoying. So I have come across some fail safes---music that always creates an excellent mood-Tori Amos-Little Earthquakes or Boys For Pele (really anything by her for me-but these are usually what I like to listen to for painting) anything by Enigma-or Dead can Dance- as well good stuff

Hmmm... I shoot outside, a LOT, so the iPod is always on, mostly on shuffle. These days I'm listening to everything from Radiohead to U2 to Enigma to Outkast to Beethoven. Like lots of others here, it's about mood for me...

Lately a lot of Dark Ambient like Raison D'etre, Desiderii Marginis, Kammarheit,etcAlso lots of instrumental stuff with a lot of violin/cello, like Rachel's and the soundtrack to the FountainDead Can Dance/Lisa Gerrard is also common to hear while I workand at other times a lot of Neo-Folk/Folk Noir like Sol Invictusor Industrial like Skinny Puppy, Wumpscut, Velvet Acid Christ,etcdepends on mood really...

older norwaigen black metal. My wife goes nuts listening to it within a few minuts I use my MP3 player while drawing and painting.

love to listen to Jazz....instrumentals.......acoustic sounds when I paint....most music will do for me but i gotta have it while painting
