Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints.

I have a good eye. maybe not for photography (you be the judge!), but literally, I have one good eye. See, I have severe keratoconus in my right eye. That is a warping of the cornea that distorts my vision. Photography has given me the ability to find a hobby I can be passionate about, and I only need to use my good eye to look into the viewfinder. Seeing images, details and the world around us through the lens of a camera has brought a new joy, passion and light to my life, and here I want to share it with you.

I first got into photgraphy when my parents gave me a Pentax 35mm camera for my high school graduation. On the eve of a vacation, the camera, my film and everything was stolen from me. The dark ages followed. By a stroke of luck I moved to a new region and then I lost my job last winter, and decided to fill my boredom with taking pictures of the local area. Mostly black and white, I discovered a new world in my surroundings. Now armed with my digital Rebel, the world is becoming mine again...one click of the shutter at a time. I may use Photoshop to enhance brightness of colors but it stops there...I am not a believer in enhancing pictures to make them look better. I resize images using Microsoft Paint.

I love music & movies (I have written a screenplay (go to myspace.com/bostonola for info on that), I love my family, friends, my tattoo, the Red Sox, the ocean, dogs and clam dip.
