I'm Renata Holder, and I've lived in the Dallas area for most of my life. I'm a self-taught artist. I utilize my ability in my style of painting and in designing furniture as well. Being a professional interior designer in the Dallas area (specializing in the offices of eye doctors - www.phasethreedesign.com), I have many diverse outlets in which to express myself. My muse ... the love of contemporary design. My style of painting consists of acrylic paints applied on a canvas or combined with mediums of various types of texture and sometimes bits and pieces of unique artifacts or unexpected spangles. Growing up, my love for art was prevalent but yet simply a hobby. Since my joint venture with my daughter in opening ART is ART, art has become a prominent part of my life. Since I've been painting on a more consistent basis, I find that inspirations do not present themselves on demand. The mood hits when it decides. I never know what will spark my desire to pick up my tools. I’ve simply learned to relax and act when I feel inspired. There is nothing in life more stimulating and relaxing than creating art. The most rewarding part is when someone views my work and is inspired to display it in their surroundings. My work is on exhibit exclusively at ART is ART. 2811 N.
