Born in the mid-20th century, William Herod has spent most of his life involved in one creative endeavor after another. As a designer, he has created high end contemporary furnishings and accessories as well as art furniture and sculptural lighting. Fine art pursuits have included wall sculpture and sculpture in the round using found wood and metal, and painting in both oils and acrylics.
But with his introduction to the digital medium a new passion was born, and over the past several years the skills acquired throughout his lifetime in the physical world have been transmuted for use in the digital realm. In embracing photo manipulation, digital painting and 3-D rendering, he has discovered the boundless potential for illustration and story telling, the result of which is Confessions of a Mechanical Man.
