Art is not what you see but what you make others see.

I am a NYC gurlie who has been living in CT for the last 6 years. Although my heart is forever in NYC. I love anything vintage & I became my own boss & formed Vagabond Vintage 3 years ago. Hence the name Vagabondgurl. I do vintage collage...everything from huge to teeny tiny, some are theme based & others are just huge, gotta a lot going on in em pieces. I also do vintage art on furniture, baskets, cigar boxes & anything else I can get my hands on. My partner says "if you stand still too long in our house you'll get painted too!" I am extremely positive in attitude, spiritual in nature. I live by the motto "believe & all things are possible." I have a gorgeous 9 year old daughter who loves to do art with me in my basement studio, 2 huge rottweilers, 2 turtles, & a himalayan kitty. I am of Italian descent, pretty, former model 6 yrs for Wilhelmina of NY, & like to pamper & take good care of myself. I love animals & people of every color of the rainbow.

I am self taught with no formal art education. I just work hard & try to make a living.

Independent films, Margaritas, Key West, FL (aka paradise in the US), NYC, interesting people, poker playing, Pollyanna's world.

Love the Key West pictures! (I go there every year)
How did you manage to get shots without all the tourists? Great place to go.

Hello, thanks for the comment. I love looking at black and white photography too -- nothing I take is actually in black & white though, I use the desaturate command in Photoshop. LOL. Would love to see some of your photography or images as well, will you be posting some?

CoolHi, there!

Thanks so much for the great comment on my site, Vagabondgurl... After visiting yours, I realized how much we have in common. I had a shop as well, it was art supplies and trendy gifts. I had to close recently due to family obligations (long story). If you could see my house , you would not see any white walls. I love New York too, and I go to Connecticut every year for a week long visit. (Westbrook, and Deep River). I would love to see some images from you as well. And no, the pigeons were in a back alley in Venice. Have you been? Take care, Artsiemom
