Personal Statement

My career in the arts began in 1960 with a new box of crayons and a huge blank canvas. ( My mother referred to this as a bedroom wall, but my artistic eye interpreted this vast blank space much differently). Much of my work contains covert messages and symbolism, but sometimes my work is just about the medium. It has been said that I can turn anything into an art project and use everything as an artistic medium. I am an eclectic artist and relish in the arts that are a little odd and unusual. Art is my endorphin?to discuss, to view, to experience, and most of all to create.

Wildlife, hockey, simplicity, existentialism, Kierkegaard, Sartre, Nietczse; the writings of of C. Cavafy and Poe. Surrealism, especially Magritte. PopSurrealism, especially Ryden and Peck, and, I must admit, I am facinated by graffiti and love altered books, ATC's, ACEO's (Shhh!) they have become my addiction.
